About the Teacher
My name is Andrea Minster, and I am excited to be at MacFarland School for my twenty-fourth year with the Bordentown Regional School District. My first nineteen years have been spent teaching kindergarten, sixth grade, third grade, and curriculum. I am thrilled to be revisiting this range of grade levels in my current position in Basic Skills Instruction for grades 3-5.
I came to the district with undergraduate degrees from Rider University in elementary education and history earned while competing on the cross country and track and field teams. I became a reading and language arts specialist in a graduate program also at Rider, and I added a certification in curriculum supervision. I completed certification in the Wilson reading system at St. Joseph's University (level 1) and Drexel University (level 2). I am very excited to be using this program with students here in Bordentown this school year! While not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children, and bulldog, attending the kids' sporting events, running, and reading. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your family as this school year unfolds!
