Our day begins in our homeroom for morning meeting...a time where children learn how to be better listeners, share experiences and participate in social and emotional learning.

The day will continue in our own classroom #218 for Language Arts. We will be doing a boat load of reading from our ever-successful reading program, SRA Reading Mastery and sail into many fun and interesting chapter and trade books. In writing we will ride the wave of self-select topics for a personal narrative, informational, and opinion writing, summarizing and character study.

In Math we dive into skills such as measurement, area and perimeter, multiplication and division, adding subtracting bigger numbers, geometry, fractions, word problems and the all important...memorizing the multiplication facts to 9!

Shortly after we will be swimming in Science units about motion and matter, plants and animals and weather and climate.
So, come aboard for the best 3rd grade you will ever have and get ready to sail into success!
